A proposal for two residential towers, 18 and 22 storeys high, has been introduced in historic Streetsville, Mississauga, raising concerns about its size and density. The site, currently occupied by low-rise buildings, is designated for medium-density residential use, allowing a maximum height of three storeys. Local councillor Brad Butt has expressed that the proposed heights are unprecedented for the area, which lacks sufficient public transit and infrastructure to support such developments. A community meeting is scheduled for February 5 to discuss the project.
